PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: Regional Development Network (RDN)
The first Partner Spotlight of the school year will feature Mario Oropeza, Social Economy Officer at the Regional Development Network (RDN), who will share more about RDN’s work to enhance socio-economic development in English-speaking communities across Québec.
We’ll also introduce I Work Here, a new project opportunity from LEARN, RDN and the Conseil québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité (CQCM) for students in Secondary Cycle 2 and Adult and Vocational Education. In this project, students collaborate with social economy experts from CQCM and SEEnet, RDN’s social economy initiative, to design and implement social entrepreneurship projects while using French to plan, communicate and create meaningful initiatives in their communities.
Experts Supporting I Work Here Classrooms
Participating classrooms work directly with social economy experts from SEEnet and CQCM to develop and implement their projects:
- SEEnet (Social Economy English-Speaking Network) is a provincial initiative led by RDN to better integrate Quebec’s English speakers into the social economy via education, project support and connections with the rest of the social economy ecosystem.
- The Conseil québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité's (CQCM) mission is to promote and strengthen the cooperative sector throughout Québec, including by fostering collective entrepreneurship among youth.
