Looking to take learning beyond the classroom walls? Join us for a hands-on Professional LEARNing Day!
We will kick off this Outdoor Education Day by exploring a variety of outdoor learning activities from a student’s perspective. In the afternoon, we’ll switch to a teacher perspective and focus on planning and leading engaging lessons. We’ll explore cross-curricular strategies for using nature as a co-teacher, connect with digital tools that support outdoor education, and create activities that meet the needs of diverse learners. Leave with practical ideas and confidence to embrace outdoor learning all year long.
This hands-on workshop will provide teachers with the tools to Plan teaching and learning situations (Professional Competency 3) in an outdoor setting. These tools help students strengthen their relationship with the environment, alongside subject-specific competencies.
LEARN’s pedagogical consultants will tailor the content of this day to the grade levels and subject areas taught by participants, making each session unique. All educators are welcome to register! This event is free to attend, except for your release time. Pizza lunch is provided. Cet atelier est bilingue. Be ready to stay outdoors for the majority of the day, rain or shine.
