Parks Canada presents The Hidden World of Sea Stars
This network activity, The Hidden World of Sea Stars, is being hosted by LEARN in collaboration with Parks Canada. The intended audience for this session is Cycles 2 & 3 Elementary (Grades 3-6) students.
Explore the fascinating and little-known world of sea stars by examining their anatomy, lifestyle, and the connections between mussels, crabs, anemones, and sea stars. Students learn to identify the adaptations that help marine invertebrates thrive in their environment. Through this interactive experience, they will spark their scientific curiosity and gain a deeper understanding of these marine animals.
What to Expect
Join Parks Canada experts for an interactive virtual session projected directly in your classroom via MS Teams.
- Teacher’s Role: Register, project the MS Teams link, and facilitate student responses.
- Student’s Role: Watch the presentation and participate in live polls/quizzes.
- Materials Required: A main projector/screen with audio. Student devices for AhaSlides are recommended but optional (teachers can submit answers on behalf of the whole class).
