Parks Canada presents Victorian Christmas
This network activity, Victorian Christmas, is being hosted by LEARN in collaboration with Parks Canada. The intended audience for this session is Cycle 3 Elementary and Secondary 1 (Grades 5-7) students.
This network activity immerses participating classes in a typical Victorian Christmas by presenting Mr Cartier's home, which hosted numerous receptions and Christmas celebrations. It was during the Victorian period (1837-1901) that the festivities changed and became part of our current traditions. This activity will take the class into the customs and traditions of 19th-century bourgeois society during the festive season.
